Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. Mercury is the main component of silver dental fillings and very toxic to human body. There are ADA (American dental association) recommendations for special care in mercury handling and storing in sealed containers for filing use. Mercury vapor released from these fillings and accumulate overtime in the body. This can interfere with the normal function of proteins, interfere with detoxification mechanisms of liver, kidney and skin. It increased susceptibility to allergens and increased antibiotic resistance of intestinal bacteria. Antioxidants are also known to be depleted. Consult your heath caretaker for concerns and careful removal of filling from your dentist if you have one. Best wishes.
If you do, you need to have them removed--SAFELY. If you aren't careful about how they are removed, you can still get toxicity from the removal itself.
