Thank you for your response - I agree with you I should follow up with my doctors office on this. I did speak with one of the assitants last week and she was unable to get in contact with the doctor who did the angiogram so she asked another doctor what he thought and they thought Inferior lateral Trunk, I miss spoke on my last post. I have wondered about this as I did come across some other possibilities and so will call and ask for the doctor who did the procedure. I have nothing but praise for their office.
It looks like you answered all my posts and for that I am greatly appreciative. I feel like I can go into my appts with some good questions. I also appreciate how succinct (sp) you were, a lesson I can surely take.
All the best and God bless you as well.
Hi there.
ILT is not a universally accepted acronym and I believe this is a local jargon that your doctor or the hospital is using. It is better to have this clarified with the doctors or people who performed this angiogram. Your symptoms are indeed unusual but I disagree with your doctors dismissing the aneurysm and pituitary tumor as the cause of the headaches completely. This is because that the pain- sensitive structures of the head would include the blood vessels, and the meninges ( the protective coating of the brain ) which can come in contact with the pituitary tumor.
Another possibility for your headaches is a complex form of migraine, which will also explain the sensory symptoms.
You can discuss these possibilities on your next appointment with your doctors and hopefully get to the bottom of things. And remember to clear-up with them what that ILT really stands for :-)
Regards and God bless.
In case anyone else comes up with this on a report. I found out there are several acronyms that go along with this ILT. Mine luckily has nothing to do with a bird disease
;-) It is Inferior Internal Trunk which has to do with how something bends....something connects differently. And because they have to mention what they see on a angiogram - this just happened to be something they saw and its nothing in my case to worry about.
Happy day!
Found out what it is.........
Hi,
I'm wondering if I am on the wrong forum with my question.
