Ok. I will try to get her to go to the ER. She said most of it has gone away. I told her she needs to call her doctor and get an appointment. Thanks.
Hi.
This short term symptom could be related to reduced blood supply to the brain. And since it is one one side of the body, it is alarming. Please get an urgent ER check up.
Regards
Spiral is right...go to an ER. I hope it is not the case! If it isn't, perhaps it's a migraine? I've had them without even having the headache, where one side of my body and face go numb. hope this helps and I hope she's ok.

I'm sorry if this alarms you. Parasthesias or paralyses affecting one side of the body is a common symptom of a stroke. I'm a nursing student. I would call your mother's MD immediately or proceed to the nearest ER.
