Tingling, Muscle weakness, Lightheaded with internal trembling

Hi There, 33 year old female. I had an injury to my back when I was 16 and now I have found out that I have an extra lower lumbar vertebrae and have osteoarthritis in it. In 2001 all of a sudden both my legs just started to burn to the point that my pants were almost hurting them. This subsided after a couple of days. A few months later I started to get tingling and a creepy crawly feelings in my legs. These feelings would last several weeks and then disappear. This went off and on until Sept 2005. My partner and I wanted to have another baby so I came off the pill. I had been on this for 15 years.I found that not only did i have the tingling but I also had bouts of weakness in my legs. Then I had this internal buzzing all through my body and I started to feel the weakness in my left arm and tingling with applied pressure. My heels also pain when I am standing. This comes and goes. Now both my arms fell odd and my hands feel weak. I have dizziness and an upset stomach on occasion. I seen a neurologist a few days ago and had an EMG which was normal. The hospital here only has one MRI machine so getting one of these takes forever. In the meantime she said she was going to do the Evoked Potentials and a spinal tap. Blood tests good. I have never fallen or dropped anything. I don't have any cognitive problems. Good reflexes, strength coordination. Symptoms worse in evening. Hot bath soothes the muscle pain. No problems with bowels or kidneys. Healthy otherwise. No problems in either side of family like it. I'm very frightened and would appreciate some enlightenment. Please help

I am a 49-year-old non-drinking, non-smoking male of average weight. I have had moderate Turrettes syndrome from my youth.

I have had forearm pain in both arms for around five years. My arm pain is now very acute and constant. I also suffer from breathlessness, dizziness, euphoria, shakes, faintness, leg weakness, fatigue, memory loss, and severe panic attacks without cause even at rest with racing heart. I feel that my arm muscles are becoming rigid and shrinking in size. The symptoms are getting more severe as time passes.

I have been tested and diagnosed with mild carpel tunnel syndrome. Just over two years ago a had a severe heart attack which left permanent heart damage.

Every time I go for medical my symptoms are attributed to my heart attack related damage and dismissed as something I must live with.

Are there other causes that I could ask my doctor to explore, or is this just something I must live with?

I have the same symptoms. I'm a 21 yearold female with 2 children. When I started having these problems I was diagnoised with anemia. What my ? is even with the supplements and my red blood cell count 10, will I still have theses symptoms. Or is there a underlying condition not yet popped up.

i am giong to nurse tomorow i have felt a tingle sensation in my feet recently and started to panic, i had no pain but then after thinking about thrombosis (i am a smoker) kept lookin for more symptoms. i then started to realise i am an unfit 36 year old woman who is havin some muscle aches and pains in limbs however i put this down to overuse of laptop (i have nearly completed my first year of degree in social work and have sat on floor with laptop on knee for hours at at a time over the last 6 months. then the tingle has gone but i get feelings similar to going out in rain when it is just starting and you feel an odd cold rain drop. i am panicking or is it stress? can anyone help? i am basically in a constant awareness of my limbs! not necessarily in pain, although an odd twinge. the symptoms started when i became aware of the "awareness of limbs" does this make sense to anyone out there please reply anxious awaiting!!!!!!!

I cannot give you a clinical diagnosis over the internet, as this site is purely educational

However, your symptoms do not point to a specific neurological location or diagnosis. Creepy crawly feelings in the legs can be from restless legs syndrome, and are assocaited with iron deficiency anemia. A normal neurological examination in combination with normal imaging and neurophysiological studies (such as evoked potentials) make a structural neurological lesion unlikely.
It may be helpful to look into some blood tests for peripheral neuropathy, myofascial pain, medication side effects, and alcohol use.

Goodluck

Good luck

i have many similair problems for 15 years now. i get weird feelings in my brain, blurred vision, tingling in my hands arms and leg which gets worse at night, weird feelings in my legs that are to hard to describe, sometimes i get faint vibrations through my body, i get muscle pain in my upper arms and my bum they feel bruised at times, other times i get nausous but it only last a second or 2 for no reason.i have tons of other things too, have been to many neuro, recently changed again and they feel i have MS so I had a lumbar puncture last week, needed to go back in for a blood patch 4 days later.this will tell if i have ms or not. recently since sept i have been having headaches which is odd for me.I do not drop things, i do not fall or walk funny, i do not have slurred speech but they still think it is MS. I do have neuropathy in my feet and hyper reflexes in my knees, which are some signs of MS.  good luck
