Trigeminal Neuralgia

I became ill about 4 years ago and was treated for fluid behind the ear canel, after 3 days of treatment the pain went. twoe weeks later the pain returned and never went away, I  started to get a severe pain in my ear, jaw joint and behind my ear when I talked or laughed, this got worse as time went on and I became poorley due to the amount of pain I was having.
I had an MRI scan and a CT scan which shown up a flash on the left side of my head but I was told this was nothing to worry about, it was due to my age ( I am now 45 years old ) I was refured to a pain management specialist and was prescribed Gabapentin, Amitriptylein, Tramadol and ibuprofen tablets because the specialist thinks that I may have Hemicrania Continua.
The pain that I have is as follows: severe earache, toothache, pain to soft tissue around the neck and throat area, and the back of my head behind my left ear, pain travels from under my chin and up through the roof of  my mouth and nose, the back of my eye and the top of my head. I have tingling to the side of my face and cheek.
I get blood shot eyes which is like some sort of eye strain, the pain in my eye is always where the redness appears usually this starts in the corner of my eye and becomes very painfull, I have striod drops which help.
I have muffled hearing in my left ear which  becomes very bad when I have an attack of pain.
The vibration of  the sound of my own voice inside of my head can trigger a bad attack also.
If I talk too much, get hot,or excersize, this can trigger a bad attack.
The pain is on the left side of my head and now my throat is effected, I keep getting a severe ache in the front of my throat which becomes really strong and I have had chest pain with this, I have to relax my throat and jaw to stop this becoming too painfull. I have had an ECG and my thyroide tested because there is thyroid and heart decease in my fathers side of the family, both tests were fine.
Without the medication I could not live with this pain, it does help but the pain never goes away, and I dread it when I know that I am going to have an attack, nobody seems to know exactly what is what is causing this, I have looked up Trigeminal Neuralgia and I have these symptoms along with other symptoms, can you please tell me if you think that I may have this or a combination of Trigeminal Neuralgia and Hemicrania Continua.
I live in the UK and would really appreciate your advice.
Kindest Regards
Maria

Tegretol is used for TN.  Carbatrol is a time release med I have used-dosage 1200 mg doesn't hold the pain in check, but helps.  Try massage-you will be very tense with this pain and the tension which will aggrevate it.  Kw226
