Worrying symptoms

In the past week, I've been developing some symptoms that have been worrying me a lot. Basically, they started a few days ago with twitchy feelings in my leg muscles, and now more or less persistent tingling in my feet. Now, I've started feeling a bit light-headed and dizzy, and my right hand trembles slightly. I'm not really suffering from any behavioural problems, such as depression; I am quite an anxious person generally and thus am not suffering from excessive anxiety for me.

The main reason I'm worried about this is that about three years ago, two people died of vCJD (the variant linked to Mad Cow Disease). Am I worrying over nothing, or is it possible that these are the early symptoms of a neurological disease? Or are there numerous possible reasons for such symptoms? I would really appreciate answers as soon as possible - thank you very much for your time.

The symptoms you are describing can be seen in many disorders which involve the peripheral or central nervous system. The first thing you should do is see your local doctor, and let him/her have a look at you. Based on that evaluation appropriate testing/consultations can then be made. Without having more medical information I can not narrow down possibilities for you.

I was worried that I might have vcjd also and I had and still have alot of symptoms that are unexplained.i have never been to the uk so i dont know how I would have gotten it.it has been 2.7 years and I am still here.there is an mri test that shows a specific signal for nvcjd called flair mri or dwi that can see it in its early stages.
I took the test and it was clean and that was at 2.4 years. it is called the pulviner sign.so if you start to worry that would be the test. when you have time look up the ucsf stanley prusiner and check it out they are top in the field.that may help you calm your fears.
