aching muscles upon waking

by carolandkelly, Jun 23, 2008 08:01AM
My husband wakes each morning with aching muscles in the back, arms and legs.  He also states he did not get a rested sleep.

We have had a number of mattresses - tempurpedic, and currently one made entirely out of latex.  He says he needs a soft bed.  He at times sleeps on the leather couch and says he gets a much better sleep.

Help, this has been going on for years now.

Hello Dear,
Whatever bed your husband prefers should be chosen as the comfort of the patient is necessary. Also he should go for brisk walking to make the muscles flexible.Does he have spondylotic changes? Also he is advised to sleep straight and use a soft pillow. He can do yoga and warm up exercises to relieve the soreness.

whats his profession ? Has he had a sleep lab done? does he snore alot? does he have bad sleeping habits? arms over his head under his head? sleep apnea can cause alot of problems long term, he could be vitamin deficient my VIT D is dangerously low  i have muscle aches and pains does he have the same old shoes and boots for days and days he might need a new pair as it causes undue stress woman change shoes daily persae men don't  so you might want to start with blood test  for artheritis for vitamins  and perhaps a chiropractor, mens diets are not exactly nutrious, beer pretz chips cigarette etc   he could have a V 8 before he goes to sleep? or warm milk can't hurt  i hope something i share helps we get soo immune to our bad habits we don't realize its a problem,
