Unknown Pain

I have been taking Paxil 40mg for three and a half months now and I am now slowly weening off this to start Wellbutrin for Depression.  However.... for the last 2 months I have had this abnormal pain in my 2nd or 3rd toe on my right foot.  Its hard to say which toe it is exactly.  When I move my foot a certain way or just for no reason when I am walking, its like an electric feeling through my toe.  It also feels like maybe the vein in my toe is moving over the bone or something.  It is hard to describe.  It doesn't hurt but just uncomfortble, and I find myself asking family members if when I move my foot or toe can they see anything.... the answer is no.  Any suggestions?  Thank You, Jeanette

This sounds like a classic case of Morton's Neuroma. There is a ton of stuff about it on the net. A podiatrist should be able to diagnose and treat you.

Dear Jeanetter:

Sorry your toes is giving you problems.  I am not sure what to tell you.  I do not think this is the Paxil.  Paxil usually does not cause neuropathy.  I would go throught the usual things that can cause toe pain, such as shoes, shoes, shoes.  Maybe a visit to the podiatrist might help.

Sincerely,
