Upper Arm trembling and Hand Problem

Hello I am a 25 year old male and to my current knowledge I have no major health pronblems. Recently I have been expieriencing some dd symptoms and while searching the internet i came upon this site.

Symptoms are as follows:

1) I am having slight problems gripping things with my hands. Basically it is most notable when i go to lift up a drink or a bottle of liquid like a beer bottle. I can still lift it but it feels like i may drop it or that it is more difficult then normal. This problem comes and goes away.

2) When i flex my arms, especially my biceps, my upper arms will shake or tremble somewhat. This i know has never happened before. There is a range of shaking sometimes abrely noticable, other times moreso.

3) Finally I do not know if this is related but i have been having slight  lower back pain stiffness and  fatigue feeling in my lower back that I have never had before. This also comes and goes but it definetely gets worse when i am standing and walking around. This pain and stiffness also sometimes can be felt in my upper right thigh and the outside of my calf muscle in my rightleg. I do not know if this is related.

I have made an appointment for a physical with a new GP and i will explain these problems to him. But this forum is great so i was wondering if anyone had any input.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I cannot give you a formal medical opinion over the internet unfortunately, as this site is purely educational

None of your symptoms seem particalary suggestive of a neurological disease. This can be confirmed by a normal neurological examination by your physician. Any abnoramlities on the neurological examination need to be followed up by the appropriate test - MRI for a central nervous system disorder and EMG/nerve conduction studies if there is evidence to suggest a peripheral nerve disorder.

Back pain that radiated to the thigh can be a result of a pinched nerve root in the back. An EMG of this leg or an MRI of the lower spine could help diagnose this if suspected.

Good luck
