Hi there.
Concussions should be accompanied by a loss of consciousness during the event and this happens when the brain shuts off to protect itself after the trauma. Another condition which may be more serious is called contusion. Those who had severe head trauma who do not lose consciousness, may in fact have contusion that will manifest with headaches, blurred vision, and increased sleeping time a few days later. For your situation, it is indeed difficult to say if this is migraine or something more serious. I suggest you have yourself checked by your doctor just to make sure. He may request for imaging studies such as MRI or CT scan if he deemed them necessary.
Regards and God bless.
Hi,
Its unlikely to be concussion however there is possiblity of cerebral contusion which may have increasing headache and blurred vision. If you feel that character of your headache is same as previous then it may be migraine only.If its differ from previous then consult your doctor to rule out contussion.
Regards,
Well its been 2 days and I am feeling better. Still a little headache, but not as bad. Today I am also congested, so it might have been allergies. Since I am feeling better, should I still be concerned? Thanks for the input
Hi,
Its nice to get feedback from you.As you feeling congested with little headache its better you should take steam inhalation. It will relieve your congestion.Antihistaminic drugs like levocetrizine can be used for added benefit.
All the best.
