prickly/pinching feeling

I had 2 major surgeries!.. The areas where my incisions are sometimes get achy.  Lately they ache alot and I get this prickly/pinching feeling that runs from the hip area down into my groin.  It is fine if I am sitting but if I get up to walk around it starts.  It only lasts a hour and then it doesn't come back for quite a while.  Sometimes a month or more yet sometimes I get it 2x a week.  What is this?  Does anyone else feel this type of sensations or achyness!!!!

Thanks.. I had the surgeries years ago... the one was 1985 and the other was 2001!  I am just concerned because its tender/achy and of course like I said I get this feeling like someone is pulling stitches out of me... I will ask my Doctor when I go see her soon.

Hello Dear,
The altered sensation you experience may be due to the denervation as sensory nerves get affected  in the operation and their healing might take some time.It is a normal phenomenon and do not worry.
You can consult your doctor about this and take care.
