tingling and muscle weakness

Every once in a while I experience a sudden weakness in my legs beginning with the very top inner leg.  It is accompanied by a fierce tingling in my hands and a strange feeling seems to go through my blood veins.  The feeling nears my arms but not quite as strong as my legs.  It takes a few hours for the feeling in my legs to subside and longer for the tingling in my hands to go away.

Quite often during the night I have extreme pain from my hands all the way up my arms...painful and can't sleep because of the pain.

This sounds typical but I have MS. I once had sciatica in both legs. I found a chiropractor who, within a few sessions, got rid of the pain.

It is difficult to ascertain the cause of your symptoms as they can occur in a wide multitude of diseases such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, chronic involvement of liver or kidney, chronic alcohol use, hypoparathyroidism, electrolyte imbalance, vitamin B12 or vitamin D deficiency, hormonal imbalance, blood pressure fluctuations, hypoglycemia etc.  Please discuss with your doctor.
