Is swollen glands normal after wisdom teeth extraction?

Hi, I had 3 wisdom teeth removed on 4/1. They were able to remove the teeth intact without cutting my gums or breaking the teeth. I know some swelling is normal, but I'm having slight pain on the glands under my ears. Is this normal? Mainly, the glands feel swollen, but I have no temperature and the clots are still in place. On one side, the clot looks black like it was blood and on the other side,  the clot looks greyish. Just want to be sure nothing is wrong and this is normal. I didn't start smoking til later yesterday and the clots are still in place. I've been using a heating pad to help with the slight swelling feel.

It feels like I'm catching a cold, but I have no sore throat. Yesterday and day before there wasn't any gland swelling, now there is. It's not painful just sore. Is this normal?

This is a long shot, but I had surgery on my upper jaw just about 2 years ago.  About 2 months ago, I found two swollen lymph nodes on my neck. This wasn't too surprsing, as I had a cold at the time. However, two months later, here I am with the same swollen lymph nodes.  They haven't grown in size, but they haven't shrunk either. After myriad blood tests and xrays, I'm clear of all infections and/or viruses, so it seems.  My doctor's best guesses are HIV, lymphoma, lupus, and some other random diseases given by cats.  I feel fine, I'm not overly tired, the nodes are not sensitive or painful to touch, no fevers, no nausea.  However, one day while chewing, I did experience some immediate discomfort in my jaw that led to nausea and dizzyness.  I ate soft foods for the next three days and it hasn't really gone back to normal yet.  Is there any relation between my jaw and these swollen lymph nodes do you think?

You should see your surgeon who can examine to see if your lymph nodes or glands are swollen.

It is not uncommon to have swollen lymph nodes under your jaw following surgery, however, only you surgeon can determine if it is normal or the beginning of an infection.
