Dislocated Shoulder

I dislocated my shoulder almost a year ago. We never followed up with an orthopedic doctor, and it's healed pretty good. I was wondering what would be the best way to build it up again. It still feels week and it's my right arm....the arm I use all the time.

hi AmAm,
well you are very young. So the probability of redislocation is very high. Please see an orthopaedician for further plan of action.

I'm 22 years old and I'm a full-time student...my major is Communication Disorders...nothing that would pose a risk of it getting hurt again...but I am VERY "accident prone" :)

hi AmAm,
i need to know your age and profession. you should meet a good physiotherapist who can help you to build up your muscles around the shoulder.
The main problem is there are 90 % chances of redislocation following a shoulder dislocation if the age is less than 30 years , where as 50 % chances of redislocation is the age is around 50 years. Tht's why i asked about these details.
So hope to hear from you soon.
