I just did a little searching and I'm thinking I have Extensor Tenosynovitis on my left foot. Its painful when I walk and I feel the pain on the top of my left foot and it also hurt whenever I lift my front foot up and it also hurts when I go down the stairs. Just a little medical background: I'm 35 years old, male, 5'10, 240 lbs, and I get gout attacks from time to time (1-3 times a year). This pain started a year ago after I had gout attack on my left foot. I went to my family doctor and she just told me to get my foot scanned and X-rayed but she didn't see any broken bones. She only said that I have degenerative arthritis on my toe thumb even thou I said that I feel the pain on the middle top of my foot. She also said that the reason is because I'm over weight and I need to lose weight. I've been working out for 2 months now and lost 10 lbs but this pain on my left foot makes it difficult to do work because at work I'm standing all the time. I'm just hoping I can figure out what is causing this pain on my foot and look for some relief until I lose some more weight. Can you guys please help me figure out the pain on my foot and maybe give me some tips to relive this pain. I would really really appreciate it.
