male, 20 years old. Broke my scaphoid bone 3-4 years ago, and I have some questions about healing scaphoid and training of the wrist joint. Let me first explain my accident, operation etc. that changed my life.
I broke it in a football accident, but I thought it was "just a sprain". So I started to my acrobatics training after the wrist felt ok, but I noticed that it was something wrong. It took me about one year to go and check it (stupid!), and it showed up that I had to do a surgery (Russe type graft without screw). I was ok with the surgery to get it fixed, but the thing that makes me really mad afterwards is that the doctor did not directed me to a physical therapist or
recommended training it after taking the plaster off. About three months after the surgery I took some new x-rays and dr told me it healed perfect. I looked up a physical therapist by my self, and they just showed me some simple flextion and extension training methods that feels useless.
Now 3-4 years after my surgery if feels like it changed my life and I can not use my hand correctly. I have no problems with abduction/adduction and flextion just extension of the hand. I don't know what to do, because everywhere I go they tell me to do these exercises, which feels like useless. Please can you give me some advise on what I should do?
