Do you know if PRP or prolo can help this cartilage repair itself?
If you strengthen the muscles around the shoulder as much as possible would that provide enough stability to, say, fall with your arm outstretched, or participate again in physical activities (contact sports)?

Well, surgery is not absolutely required but recommended after a second dislocation. With a second dislocation the chances of recurrent dislocation increase and the prognosis suggested by the orthopedician is not his personal opinion but a standard protocol followed for labral tears. Though you could avoid the surgery this time, with a third dislocation it would be highly recommended.
