Can a heavy duty drill locking up and jerking you injuring your hand overtime radiate pain into your arm, shoulder, and neck?

I have severe pain starting at my left shoulder running up my neck and down my left arm took all kind of medication to easy the pain but pain will not go away has ben like this for the oast 3 1/2 weeks what do you suggest to do this pain real hurts bad
