About removal of uterus

Hi , my wife is in her mid 40s and she underwent D & C recently . The biopsy indicated no symptoms of CA . However , she is still experiencing flashes or spots that are light brown in color. She is taking medicine hemostan to control the light bleeding . The doctor said that the uterus lining keeps on thickening and she was asdvised that in the long run, she might eventually removal of the uterus or total hesterectomy . Her question is - will this procedure affect only the uterus or will the other adjoining parts be removed also? Whats going to happen after the procedure- will she still have the same normal sexual reactions and furges as that of normal woman  ?

Hi, I would think you may get more help on the Hysterectomy or womens health forums, this is the Ovarian cancer forum and it deals with issues related to this. Hope this helps and good luck.
