Abuse of site

I posted a thread this afternoon when I received a letter from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute In Buffalo, where Dr. Odunsi has had success with the Ovarian Cancer Vaccine. This is a well known fact that can be proven and I always state my sources. Some of us become jaded with so much info that we now don't believe much that we read. I gave the web links given to me by the National Cancer Institute discussing the clinical trials ungoing for this vaccine that could well be our answer to our prayers. They are looking for anyone wishing to join the trial and possibly someone thought I was recruiting. I joined this group  and others to obtain every bit of knowledge I can to help myself and others. I don't want my friends and family to ever go through this. I don't write about myself, or complain about my aches and pains, it has strickly been to, hopefully, aid others with important info. What could be more important on this site than a cure? Someone keeps reporting this extremely important information as abuse. The MedHelp people have been allerted and will watch for that person and I asked them to read my entire thread and check out my facts.  I am so sorry that someone thinks so little of us to want to keep you from knowing this info that could save your life and give you hope. You can endure a few chemo's if you know there is something to look forward to. Sorry for my rant and I promise I will not be writing on a daily basis. I was just so passionate about helping and finding out the info about powder and the vaccine I wanted everyone to know. Meg

I can't imagine why it would be reported as abuse. You're not ranting at anyone or trying to sell snake oil. True - as you said we can become jaded by all the information we read. I know I'm a bit cynical. The news tosses out all these results from studies that "this might be linked to that" and it gets all hyped up. Then people become fearful. In a couple years they find out there was no link at all. I get tired of all the maybe's and what if's. Still, I shouldn't "throw out the baby with the bath water" as the old saying goes. Not every bit of medical news is premature. You've certainly backed up your info with links for everyone to check out on their own.

Dear Megan,
I very much appreciate the time and effort you have selflessly put into posting about the powder issue, and the vaccine which could mean so much to so many of us.

I want to thank you for what you have done for us, and I truly hope that you continue to post here, and on any other OVCA board you choose to.

We all discuss chemo drugs, and side affects, but something like this vaccine is so new and hopeful. I'm looking forward to discussing it with my oncologist.

Thanks again,
Jane
