Alimta drug

My Mom is currently on doxil, which brought her numbers down but not controlling the ascites in the belly.  Her oncologist is thinking of switching to Alimta since she's already had all other drugs: carbo/taxotere, avastin, topo, gemzar, doxil.  

Has anyone been or is on Alimta and have some input for us.  Not sure if to enroll into a trial or try Alimta first.
Seems like her cancer has progressed dramatically with the ascites recurring all over the abdome the past few weeks.
Some doctors are saying she has exhausted all thats out there and doing comfort care which will never happen right now, I dont think we're at that point yet.  Main gyno/oncologist is suggesting Alimta.  In one month have a consultation at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
