Hello there...I am back from the dark side...wow!  I wish nwc was around today....Sunday must be her day off....I will save that sight for days when I feel ugly and want to slap someone...and what is cool is that she just might swing back!  I have days where a good fight just might make me feel better....since a storm took my basketball hoop down I have nothing to throw things at!
I did post just a little but do intend to talk with her tomorrow...I think she is dangerous.
Peace.

I mentioned that doctor thing on another thread.... is she serious?  I agree with you Dian 100% ... how dangerous is that advice or what?
They tend to be careless in their replies, seems to me they just try to get business rolling for their foundation (call us, etc.).

Say, I have to look, I guess I am being lazy since it would take what?....a second...to see if the big hormome debate comments and the (semi) accusations that alluded to her wondering if I was growing this stuff in my back yard are still there. Geez Louise.

Dian, I think I know what the initials stand for. I went to their website once and pulled up articles, or maybe sniffed out some references and then googled some of the articles. Nora is the name of the woman whose name came up most and as I recall, the initials matched the rest of her name. I am not sure, but it might be her website...or at least she has some position. Well, there is a lead for you at least. Too much, isn't it?

A few weeks back I sent an email to the people who run this site.  I told them I felt the replies to some questions on the Hysterectomy threads were inaccurate, and seemed to be answered "off the cuff" and in a very sloppy fashion by the Hersfoundation "staff". For example, in one post they confused cancer with fibroids!

I felt it was not truly "patient to patient"... and I wondered why they were allowed to run that forum.

They replied that having the "Hersfoundation" reply to questions was their decision and their choice.

If you go to their web site you will understand that the Hersfoundation are vehemently opposed to hysterectomy.  Well, my (our) point about this was, gosh, would have loved to have kept all the parts, but it wasn't to be.  Don't make me feel like a sub-human because I had the surgery.  I understand they have their philosophy, fine.  BUT my point, and I got into a BIG debate with the folks who run this site, is that they are not medical professionals.  If you are just looking around for info, and stumble across that site, you might not read very carefully (I didn't at first) and you might think (wrongly) that your questions are being answered by a medical professional, or God, forbid, even someone who cares or can answer in a thoughful, kind and caring manner.

I answered a post about possible cyclical bleeding from a cervix left in after hysterectomy and got a very rude and sarcastic email from them again... actually I wondered if it was someone from the Hersfoundation because of the extrememly angry tone and language.  I ignored it.

I just feel so sorry for the women who ask questions there.  Much of the time no one answers them anyway.

I could not be bothered to tangle with these people, but, some of the replies are quite dreadful....

Thank goodness that we don't have these people giving out there advice and opinions on this part of the Forum. It really makes me realise even more that alot of doctors who think they are proffesionals have no idea, its scary. I can't beleive what nurse said about heart attacks, getting your foot removed, it was so sarcastic, etc on the post "Michael 3/29/06". She should not be a nurse. Also the comments that "RICKS" made were disgusting, was that a Man writing that post? Dian I think that you need to get in there with your Hammer that you use on the Bulge Battalion Site. I guess People like this can only make the Battalion bigger, better and stronger. We have the best bunch of Ladies.
I'm myself considering removal of the Uterus for relief after 15 years of pain that has controlled my life. Its not an easy decision ,and may seem radical to those who don't suffer from ongoing chronic pelvic pain.
I think we all need to go and vent on the new board that Mid started yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.

Dian look down the bottom right on the page you are on now, (Med Help International), then choose Hysterectomy from the list on the left. Read the posts.  Find out how you are just a piece of nothing now that you have had a hysterectomy, might as well just end it now!
Responses, if you merit one, are phrased very crudely and cruelly, and, several posts (from the "Expert Staff" no less) are inaccurate.

Then say "EEEK" ....

When you get rolling on the MSN site, remind me to tell you why I ultimately decided on having my uterus removed, based on what I read in Christianne Northrup's book....
I am more comfortable now discussing our stuff on the other site.  It's private for us...
Cheers
