Biopsy

Hi I had a biopsy done 2 days ago and the gynecologist said to rule out cancer now when I talked to my family doctors office they said I have a cyst.  I do not have many symptoms only a lot of bleeding during my period draining down my legs and lasts between 5 to 8 days. I have been put on a bc pill to regulate my cycle and it causes migraine headaches and pain in my abdomen. I don't have any other symptom and I am a bigger lady.  As a rule I have always been heavy at age 11 and on. I have had ultra sound.  My question is why the biopsy? And I am scared it is cancerous.

You don't mention your age.  Ovarian cysts are a normal part of a menstrual cycle as that is how eggs get released.  What was the tissue that was biopsied? Cervix?  So sorry about your heavy periods and discomfort.  Maybe a different BC product if migraines keep occurring?

Feel better.
