I have been reading your posts the last few days and had to contact you.  You are a remarkable young woman and I had to post to you.  I haven't been on this forum for a while.  I was very fortunate when I was diagnosed with 2 large ovarian masses last Nov 06. Thankfully everything was benign. I would have not gotten through my situation without these women on this forum. My story is simple compared to yours..I didn't think so as I  have been dwelling on it for the last 6 months. I was petrified to go for my surgery...I needed an onc/gyn and was told that I wouldn't know anything till they did the surgery well fear and anxiety kicked in and from Jan 07 till I finally put my fears aside I went through with the surgery in May 07. I had many complications from the surgery..I needed a full hysterectomy as I was full of endo. I also had my gallbladder removed (which was scheduled along with the hysterectomy). I was so sick after the surgery that I just kept getting sicker and sicker until a week after the Doctor sent me for a cat-scan and realized I had to have an emergency bowel-resection as I had a ruptured bowel..all I could do was pray to get better to come home to my 2 daughters (11 and 7). Well i then developed a terrible wounnd infection, ended up in ICU for 2 days..many blood tranfusions..etc..etc..After 3 long weeks I finally was stable enough to come home and was on a wound vac for awhile and had home health care.  But by the end of June I was 95% better...i had my days..tiredness, weakness and beleive it or not hair loss! from stress and anesthia they said..Anyway, I thank god I came through it all..What I have been feeling is sorry for myself for the last few months UNTIL I read your posts and realized what a positive attitude and wonderful inspiration you are to everyone on this site.  I lost my mother to colon cancer when I was 20...She unfortuntely didnt have that strong positive attitude .Your attitude is what is going to get you through this..As I was sitting here tonight I was telling my husband all about you and what a wonderful support group you have.  I myself would love to keep in touch with you and let you know that you will be in my prayers. You are truly an incredible woman who has a wonderful outlook and are definitely a role model to all.  Stay strong, stay well and keep being the person that you are because you are a very special person. I wish you good health!

My goodness, that was sweet! I have to be honest, it's posts like yours and the responces I received from my 2007 letter that keep me going.By the way, your situation is not simple compared to mine, we went through a lot of the same stress! I would love to keep in contact with you! I guess when I sit back and wonder why I have cancer, the voice always comes back that my strength will help others dealing with cancer. That's what I intend to do....HELP and raise awareness as much as I can. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers, you can never say enough prayers. I will send an invitation to you to be a "friend" and we can exchange emails. With love, Deandra
