I recurred after 4mths remission which isn't really a remission to me so I understand what you are going through. I was resistant too as is anyone who recurs in less than 6 months. I was not offered a clinical trial, possibly based on where I live, but I did the Gemzar. It was a rough chemo for me and did not work. I had it from Oct thru Feb and am fixing to start on Topotecan. I don't know what to advise you or tell you I just wanted you to know you are not alone in this and a lot of woman are resistant to one thing or another but there are many other things out there, there is always something else to try. Hang in there, do some research and decide what is best for you. Oh, you should do a profile with this info so others in your situation can see that easier and get in touch with you as this post will roll away, but your profile stays. Good luck
Kindest Regards,

I am very confused, you were diagnosed with stage 3 OvCa,had 6 rounds of carbo and taxol, had a clear CT Scan and then your doctor did a laproscope to make sure that the scan you had a few months ago showing an all clear was clear. Then after that he did a full hysterectomy and removed your ovaries and tubs. How were you surgically debulked in July for stage 3 ovarian cancer but they left your ovaries, tubes and uterus? If it were me, I would be at another doctor's door immediately.
I don't understand. Surgical debulking comes after the tumors and the total hysterectomy and oopherectomy. How did the cancer return in the ovaries and fallopian tubes? If the doctor just removed the tumor and left everything else that would be highly unusual. If this was the case I would go to a different doctor ASAP. Marie
Very unusual post Remove a large tumor, leave everything else, Do chemo { for stage 3 } a clean? scan remission? then a scope and then LO and BEHOLD there is cancer. Then we do the hysto. Either this is a completely new unorthodox treatment or someone has some wires crossed. Guess my name should be Doubting Thomas.
Wow, I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused. It does seem VERY odd the timeline of events here. I would seek a 2nd opinion ASAP! Best of luck, D
