Large Ovarian Cystic Mass is it safe to do heavy lifting?

I have a 14cm x 12cm cystic mass on my ovary and am scheduled for surgery to remove my uterus and both ovaries in one week. All tests look favourable that it is not cancer so I can only hope. I am a personal carer working in a resthome and as an elderly resident almost fell today and I managed to catch her, now I am worried as I now have a sore lower back. Could I be doing damage which could result in the cystic mass rupturing? I haven't been able to find any information on the internet regarding heavy lifting etc and appreciate any info on this. To everyone on this forum I wish you all the best.

Hi Serenity,
You have a medium sized cyst. If you experience any abdominal trauma, you could rupture the cyst. I do not think heavy lifting in general can harm you. But if you are feeling sore, you should try to stay away from such exertions for now.
best wishes with your surgery.
