Hi There,
perfect comments from hdryder and Neta. I would also add that most cysts with septations come and go with ovulation. Unless there are many other findings that would suggest the need for surgery, repeating an ultrasound after a menstrual cycle is the first step (assuming you are in the menstruating years of your life). Most cysts have resolved after a menstrual cycle or two
take care
Most cysts are benign and can cause the same symptoms as ovca, but the only way for sure to know if cancer or not is thru a biopsy. In my experience even tv ultrasound,ca125 blood test is not accurate.I didn't have symptoms that were that noticeable either,it was found thru pelvic exam, but gyn followed it for 3 years being pretty sure it was a benign endometrioma, right up till during surgery did we find out it was ovca.all were shocked- so definitely ask questions and be your own advocate!!
Hi there. Yes, I agree with hdryder. Only a biopsy can tell you if they are benign or not. I have had cysts for several years without any kind of problem, but in the last few months they have grown more than normally and I need to get operated. So, don't be afraid to ask and get informed. Hope for the best.
