Scoutshadow?

How are you holding up?  I prayed for you and glad all went well with the 99% club.  Just too bad about that bladder nick.  Ugh.  I was just thinking of you and wanted to say hello.

I'm going in on the 12th as planned.  Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Lots a love,
Shawn in Texas

Hi there

You go into hospital tomorrow - how time flies!

Well I don't know if I'm in th 99% club yet - will have to wait another week.  They thought it might be a seedling.  Anyway they did say to prepare myself for the possibility of them going in again.  Just have to wait and see.  Oh and they opened up the bladder deliberately to check for any signs of growth but it was clear - Yay!

But what I want to say is to wish you the very best for your operation tomorrow.

Take everything very easy and gradually build up.  I'm now one week post op and only take painkillers before bed.  If I get sore I lie down and rest. Yes I do a lot of that but would rather let my body tell me when enough is enough. Also painkillers can be constipating and we do not want that! Oh and I couldn't do the pillow against the tummy, it was too painful but the physio gave me some great exercises for clearing my lungs of the anesthetic and painkillers.  Ask your physio for this as well.

Take care and lots of love to you Shawn,

Ursulaxx

Thanks again everyone.  I have to be up early in the morning...I finally got my surgery time.  6:30 am CST....they waited until 6:30 tonight to let me know the exact time!  Atleast I won't have to wait all day......get it over with early.  The liquid diet today has been murder.  It's funny how you aren't hungry until they tell you to go on a clear liquid diet the day before! All of the sudden I am starving!  Sorry.....just cranky....anxious....and hungry!!!
