Cystic nodular lesion

My history- had a laparoscopy 3 -4 years ago due to ovarian pain. U/S came back normal...Lap showed a lesion connecting from ovary to bowel. He lasered it and said it is a  possibility it may come back. My mother also had a full hysterectomy at age 26 due to endometriosis.

This year pelvic pain continues. U/S showed good ovaries, cervix....however, ..."there is a presence of a single well defined cystic nodular lesion at the posterioruterine corpus measurin at 8x5x7mm". Doctor called me with results and I am to see  him for a yearly in two weeks. We had a good talk and he said basically that it was a good report but it seems like the lesions have returned.

Dumb me gets on the internet and reads that cystic lesions can be cancerous. Based on my history I feel good that it may be the same thing...or even endometriosis....we are to discuss another LAP when I go in. I will highly suggest that since I have met my out of pocket.

I am terrified to death that b/c he called this a "complex" cystic lesion that it is the worst...even though the doctor told me otherwise.

any thoughts? I just don't understand how something can be a cyst and a lesion at the same time...also it said "low grade internal echoes". The radiologist (at the end of the report) suggested to assess stability of the cystic lesion in 3 months.

I depise the internet sometimes. :(
