FSH 17.63 Post-Hysterectomy with both ovaries removed

I had my FSH level tested after being taken of my HRT for two weeks. the result was 17.63 IU/L. All the literature I have read about this states that my surgical "menopause" induced FSH level should be over 50. Does anyone know what this inappropriate level means?

I can tell you that I too have no ovaries and have a low FSH level.  My doctors watch my level because I have what they believe is an ovarian remnant.  I had my 2nd ovary taken in 2004, and my numbers are still well below 50.

I do not think that you will get much more help from this forum.  Most of us are OvCa survivors, newly diagnosed patients and/or family and friends of someone dealing with OvCa.

Try the menopause forum, maybe someone there can offer you more insight.

Good luck to you
