Can you help?

I have been experiencing abdominal bloating, diarrhea, other bowel changes, frequent urination, mucous and little blood in stools, abdominal discomfort daily, slight weight loss,  slight stabbing pain typically on left side.I have been checked for colitus, parasites. Cat scan reads slightly prominent uterus. Prominence of right adnexa with prominent follicles. Narrowing of the sigmoid colon, occasional diverticula without peridiverticular inflammatory changes.  I am dealing with a gastriologist.  Should I also see my gynocologist.  What does all this mean?  Please help lead me in the right direction.  I have been experiencing this for three months.

Once a gastro guy tells you that you have a slightly prominent uterus it is time for the gynecologist.  The diverticula thing is very very common and with no inflammation it is barely an issue.  You should have the gyn check everything else out just to be on the safe side.  With those symptoms you should probably have a pelvic exam, a TVUS and a Ca 125.  Once you RULE OUT ovarian cancer than you can see what else it might be.  I don't know how old you are so it could be a million things.  Just stay on top of it.

Yes, you need to see gunocologist.  CT scan does tell about ovarian.  You need a biospy for that.  Too many times they treat you for gastrio stuff when it is not.  Please see a gyn soon.
