That's wonderful news Lillian! So glad to hear it. Football size tumors, must have been a man surgeon. Don't they usually compare tumors to the size of citrus fruits?
Lillian, what great news, I was thinking about your Mom today, hoping you'd post this good news.
She must have had a great surgeon to get all that cancer out of Mom, she's so lucky!
Ramsey14 is right, my tumor was compared in size to a coconut .
Mom is doped up for pain, that's why she's loopy, they do that to make patients comfortable, don't worry.
Keep us updated, and keep doing the happy dance!
Jane
Glad the surgery is behind her now, praying recovery goes well.

I'm so glad the surgery is passed her and you both can rest a bit. Lots of love.

I am so glad things went well. Footballs, huh? Impressive. I was told my biggest was almost as big as a soccer ball. Amazing what our bodies can carry around. I am glad she had such good docs. The loopiness might not be just the pain meds. Could be from the anesthesia. That can really do a number on the brain. I forget for how long, but for a while after my surgery I couldn't even read. I'd open a book and be on the same page forever becasue I'd keep forgetting what I had just read. Luckily that problem resolved. I love to read. Hope she heals fast with not problems. Marie
It's not unusual for people to hallucinate in the hospital. You wouldn't believe the stories my aunt's vivid imagination cooked up -- they were doing construction in the hallway at night (probably cleaning/waxing the floor with a machine) -- and that's the one we figured out! It happens with older people, particularly, so do't be surprised.
Lillian,
I too have been wondering about your mom and so very happy to hear that she came through the surgery just fine. Now she just needs to focus on recovery. It sounds like she has great Drs so I hope that it helps to put your mind at ease some. Please keep us posted of her progress.
