been on avastin alone every 3 weeks for 5 months now. its kept my numbers stable. my ca125 was in the 700s in early january - its been hovering in the mid 300s for a while now. its very tolerable. since i am nearly 6 years out from a stage 4 diagnosis I cant complain. I feel great now and i hope it continues to keep things stable

My wife had 5 treatments of avastin alone earlier this year, for a 1st recurrence that was detected fairly early.  It initially dropped her CA-125 from 10 to 6, but it crept back up again to 10 by the 5th treatment.  PET/CT scans at the beginning and end of the 5 treatments confirmed that it had kept her bascially stable.

However, since her CA-125 was creeping back up, her gynecologic oncologist advised her to switch to a more aggressive treatment so she is now on carbo+taxol+avastin (she tried one treatment of carbo+gemzar+avastin but the gemzar was really hard on her white counts and platelets).

Although avastin is sometimes used as a single agent it is more often combined with other forms of chemo and is usually more effective when used that way.  As you know, everyone responds differently so it might prove to be effective for you by itself.  Best wishes as you make your decisions about treatment!
