No ca125 baseline
Anyone know if it is an issue if my oncologist did not run a baseline CA125 test before my hysterectomy? Had it done 8 months ago because of a 22 cm cyst on left ovary. Had an elevated OVA1 result at 7.5 but turns out they somehow over looked the CA125 test and that is what my oncologist uses as a indicator for future problems. My borderline stage 1C cyst ruptured before surgery. Worried about recurrence and not having that baseline test to work with. They have me taking one now but it has been 8 months. Any input would be helpful!

Usually with early stage OvCa, a CA125 is not a good indicator as it is often false negative.

Hopefully, your GYN/Oncologist will continue to do scans, etc to monitor the situation as well as keep taking CA125s.
