Well, I had another ultrasound on Thursday (3/19) and the cyst has burst. But now my abdomin full of fluid, am having back pain and I feel like my stomach is about to explode any minute. I have an appointment tomorrow (3/23) to see my gyn doctor. I guess we see what will happen. Wish me luck!
I went to the emergency room last night, I could not take the discomfort and pain. I was told they do not handle cyst. However, they did an internal US and it came back that the cyst is still there on my right ovary. But now there is a cyst on my left ovary and fluid in my fallopian tubes. I am glad to say that my sisters gyn had a cancellation and I am on my way the dr. this morning at 9:30 a.m. Wish me luck!
Uterine cancer and cervical cancer has no connection to Ovarian Cancer. Also, most Ovarian Cysts are benign. Your family history does not increase your risk for Ovarian Cancer....if you are in that much pain and do not want to wait until the end of the month, go to an emergency room, hopefully they will do a CT Scan and can see if there is any change in the cyst.
Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I am in have contacted my gyn and was told that they can not move up my "consult" any sooner than March 23rd. I am really feeling uncomfortable, I feel like a balloon that is about to burst. I have tried making an appointment with another gyn, but can not get in until March 25th. I am a lost as to what to do now.
I will take the suggestion of getting copies of my tests and making a file to take with me to other doctors. I am going to work on that today.
I will let you kow what happens.
Thanks again.
I agree with abbysu, get an appointment as soon as possible, you must be proactive regarding your health.
These symptoms and your health problems, have been going on for a while and you must find out what's going on.
Call your urologist and make an appointment, and if you're not satisfied with the GYN, get a second opinion.
Be sure to get copies of all your tests and keep a file to take to other doctors, or just so you can refer to them in the future.
Hope that helped, keep us informed,
Jane
I know that I, personally, if I was in your situation, would do better emotionally if I set up an appt. as soon as possible. Waiting a month could give you more than enough time to give yourself all sorts of disorders! At least, that is how I am...nothing short of having a doctor tell me I am OK settles me down. Good luck
