Ovarian remanant tissue

I had an oopherectomy on my left ovary in August 2003 due to ecessive pain from cysts on my left ovary. I have a strong family history of cancer so my GYN sent me to a GYN/ONC since my CA-125 level was high and she did an oopherectomy after several months of pain and the cyst got larger. She removed it and the pathology was benign (thang God) but 4 months later I have the same pain and an ultrasound is done and I have yet another cyst on my left side. She said it was tissue left from the oopherectomy! Only 4 months later its back! She has been very conservative with me since I had a mitral valve replacement last year and I have extensive heart problems and Im on Coumadin. The pain is still there and the cyst has gotten larger and now is blood filled which they consider a hemmorhagic cyst. Still she is uncertain whether to subject me to a big operation. The surgery she did in Aug was via laparoscope and this time will be a laparotomy. She does not think its cancerous, but of course im very afraid and tired of being in pain. What should I do, get another opinion or talk her into the surgery? Im so confused.
How does the ovary remain tissue so easily and regenerate another cyst so quickly?
