treatment for stage 1c of ovarian cancer

My mother's hysterectomy specimen shows:
Endocervicities,  Atrophic changes in the endometrium and myometrium,  Uterine leiomyoma,  Clear cell carcinoma (Mesonephroid carcinoma) of the right ovary with capsular involvement, The right fallopian tube, left ovary and left fallopian tube show no evidence of tumour involvement,  The left ovary shows evidence of past haemorrhage, compatible with the clinical impression of endometriosis, The omental fat is histologically unremarkable and shows no evidence of tumour metastases.  
Kindly advise the best treatment for her condition and the side effect of the therapy.

We have decided for chemo therapy and we are advised to give her more red meat during the therapy, anyhow we are not sure about the quantity we should give her. Please advise on the diets and care for patient under this type of treatment before, during and after the therapy?

It is my understanding clear cell is an aggressive cancer, and is usually treated with six founds of carbo/taxol.  I hope all goes well for your mom.

Your gyn/onc is the best to advise you.  

I also was staged at 1c, and had my CA-125 dropped after surgery, and been down to normal after the 1st chemo, I would have only needed 3 cycles of carbo/taxol.  There was a large study done where they found there was no difference in remission/survivability giving 3 cycles as opposed to 6.  The key is that you want to give two cycles past a normal CA-125.  Unfortunately for me, my CA-125 almost doubled after surgery, and then stayed elevated after the first chemo; so, I had to have 6 cycles.

I had stage 1a clear cell  and I had 6 carbo/taxol treatments, usually chemo is recommended for all stages of clear cell .

I think that nyc lady is right, but please listen to the Dr and follow his suggestions.

I believe for stage 1C and above, standard treatment is usually suggested.  6 rounds of carbo/taxol.
