You found many good friends here on this site.  I am also stage 3c and they said maybe one year.  It is now 2 and half years, with reccurences.    The number 5 years, seems to come up for most cancers.   Somehow, no one is calling me every year to see if I'm still here.   Good luck, and all the best......

Terrin is right. The women that make it far beyond that precious 5 year goal are not carefully tracked. Many go on living normal lives and statistics don't count them unless they are in some special study. There was a woman in my community diagnosed with stage 3 ovca. She was given a very short future. Her chemo never completely got rid of the cancer, but she lived 17 years. She kept stable disease and when she did pass, it was not the ovca that took her. She was on many different chemos for much of those years, but had a quality life. Best wishes, Marie
