ovarian cyst check

I went for a consultation and was sent for a ca125 blood test. Within 2 days I was sent for an ultrasound scan again (only had the last scan 1 month ago)The lump is solid in parts and on my left ovary. I've had it for 2 years and it is only 2.6 cm big but I am in pain most months with it despite having been put on various contraceptive pills. My health is fine and so I am alarmed to be sent so soon for another scan. Do I get the blood results back at all? Is it poss bad news?

Th blood reports came back normal but what has been amazing is the fact that I recently went for an ultrasound which showed the cyst had disappeared! Completely! The consultant told me to take microgynon 30 contraceptives straightaway prior to the ultrasound which I did for 3 weeks and intend to keep taking! I feel better generally and am so happy and relieved to learn that my cyst is no longer there. I've lived with it for 2 years and had pain every month - incredible!

It sounds like your doctor is being very careful. do you have your reports back now?
If you are in pain and have a persistent cyst, it may be reasonable to consider having it surgically removed
