Return of Ovarian Cancer

In 2003, I was diagnosed with cystic ovaries. I had a total hysterectomy. My surgeon told me that my ovaries were Pre-Cancerous, but she did not elaborate. I did not have Chemo or Radiation. In September of this year, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma. So far, it's stage 2A. We are awaitng the results of a full body PET Scan done last Thursday. Is it possible that the Pre-Ovarian Cancer is the cause of the Breast Cancer? I will be undergoing a double Mastectomy and immediate Breast reconstruction surgery.  I am Estrogen Positive and HER2 Negative. Thank You for your time. Alicia

The Pet scan is a wonderful tool and hopefully will not show anything unexpected.  I hope you can find someone to answer your question.  Judy

That is a very interesting question.  I don't think I know of anyone on here who has had that situation.  I do hope someone comes along that can help you, but you also might want to check with the breast cancer forum.  If anyone started off like you think yours might have, but is having surgery and treatments for breast cancer it is more likely that they would be seeking answers on the breast cancer forum.
I am terribly sorry for your ordeal and hope that you situation has the best possible outcome.

Oh girl....I am so sorry you are going through all of this......my heart goes out to you.  I really can't answer your question......I guess nobody will be able to answer your question until pathology comes back from your surgery.  Wow....life is tough.
I certainly hope you get good news in the rusults of your PET Scan.
Please come back and let us know how you are doing.
Peace.

P.S. there is a "breast cancer" platform somewhere in Med-Help.....somebody there might have experienced the same situation....even so....let us know how you turn out.  Good luck.
