Should I be concerned?

I am 47 and due to constipation, pain and rectal bleeding, had a colonoscopy. Proctologist found the intestines healthy but found a protrusion on my cecum, which he felt I should have checked further by CT scan and/or laparoscopy. My general MD sent me for a CT scan which shows a cyst on right ovary with a small dark spot. Referred me to my gyn for further analysis(ultrasound or even biopsy)but my gyn (after seeing report from protologist and actual CT scan)called me on the phone and left me a message that there is nothing to be concerned about or even checked further. Should I be concerned and do you feel this is something that should be checked further?
