Hi Dr. Goodman,
I hope you can help me again. I have the report from my ultrasound. There are some things on here that I don't quite understand. Here is what it says:
The uterus is bulky measuring 4.6 x 6.4 x 9.0 cm in size. There is a small echogenic mass in the posterior wall of the cervix measuring about 8 x 9 mm in size, probably representing a fibroid. There is inhomogeneous echogenic throughout the remainder of the uterus possibly related to the presence of additional smaller fibroids or to adenomyomatosis. The endometrium is normal in thickness measuring 4mm.
Left ovary exhibits a solid nodule measuring 3 cm in diameter. The etiology of this is not certain but neoplasm cannot be excluded. The right ovary is unremarkable apart from the presence of a solitary 1 cm cyst likely representing the dominant follicle.
I know I have the mass on my left ovary. It's the other stuff like "inhomogeneous echogenic" that I am clueless about. As well as the rest of what this report says.
Thanks for your time.
