atypical glandular cells - CIN III

Not sure if this is the correct forum so advanced apologizes if it is not.

I had a pap come back last month that showed mild cell abnormalities and atypical glandular cells. I had an coloscopy, ecc, and endometrium biopsy done.

results for ecc said negative for dysplasia.

endometrium biopsy said  no evidence of endometrial hyperplasia or carinoma identified in this specimen. It noted tubal metaplasia though..not sure what that is.

cervical biopsy came back as CIN III and another with CIN I

DR. said to wait 6 months for a repeat pap.

Even though the ecc and endo biopsy came back normal i am still concerned. I have had abdominal bloating and difficulty urinating for some time now. I am worried that something could have been missed when he was taking the samples?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi There
if you have a biopsy that shows CIN 3 (severe dysplasia which is equivalent to carcinoma in situ) , then you need to have an appropriate treatment to remove that area on your cervix. The most common treatment is called a LEEP excision. (Loop electrosurgical excision procedure)

If the doctor your are seeing does not recommend this, then you need to see someone else. It would be inappropriate to not treat CIN 3
best wishes

here is a nice summary of treatment options:
