So glad you caught this early. Don't look at the stats, just continue to be vigilant on your check ups, exams, CA125 test, PET/CT scans. I was diagnosed 3/2006 Stage 1A Clear Cell (all clear cell is graded 3), had complete surgery, absolutely NO spread, everything was clean, did 6 cycles of carbo/taxotere. Faithfully did my routine check ups, and thankfully on a routine PET/CT they found a little golf ball sized tumor sitting behind my stomach, yes, 4 yrs, 7 months later a re-occurrence, but again, my doc says, it was completely contained, no spread, came right out in surgery, and am doing chemo of carbo/gezmar, this time I am hoping for a remission of a life time. Just live life, do your check ups. Everyone is different. Main thing~~ Live and Be Happy. Take Care.

I'm coming up on nine years since diagnosis of 1A. The doctor promised to cure me, and I'd say he's done that. I asked him recently why I still need to see him, and he said that the likelihood of recurrance is very, very, very low -- but not zero. Do follow up with the doctor as instructed, but get back to your life as much as possible and don't worry until you have something to worry about!
Congratulations!
Hey there, girl. So glad you were caught early in the development of your cancer. Certainly that is the best indication of your survival.....and the pathology results of the debulking was as good as it gets.
I have absolutely no idea of the stats.....if there are any reliable ones......most of us here have decided not to pay too much attention to those stats as we are individuals who choose not to be pigeon holed as a number. There are so many variables that don't make it into the equation.......
I was diagnosed IC after my mucinous tumor ruptured during removal.....my last chemo was in October of 2005........I've got my fingers crossed and continue with 6 month checkups with my gyn. That's about all I know !
I am happy for you being found at !A and having everything else negative.
Peace.
