I am 38 years old and have 2 children. I did the other vag ultra sound and its still there got results friday. She told me it is a mass complex but doesnt think I should get to worried and lets do a blood test this coming monday. She also wants to schdule surgrey in November...Im really scared. I had cyst though out my pregnancy and they always went away..her nurse called me and said its a 70 percent chance it could be nothing but it is not good that I have cyst. Are the blood test that realiable ???Is a 2mm a large cyst?  Also what do you guys think of a second opinion

2mm is a tiny cyst.  However, from what I know, it sounds like they are doing what is normally done, waiting through a cycle and looking again.  I know it is hard to wait, and nerve wracking....I am currently waiting for surgery on the 29th.  You should get a response from the doc here in a couple days.

hi there,
Thank you Andi! I agree, 2 mm is tiny. 2 cm would still be pretty small. It makes me wonder whether your pain is from something else. Sometimes, a laparoscopy is recommended when it is unclear what might be causing the pain.

For instance, endometriosis can cause alot of pain even when there is just a tiny spot of it.

You are right, most ovarian cysts come and go with the menstrual cycle because they are related to ovulation.

It sounds like you are in good hands and getting a good evaluation
take care
