Are there trials in the US now?  I want to try the PARP drug.

Dx 6/07 stage IV with metases to lliver & abdomen.  Surgery then 6 rounds Taxol/ Carboplatin.

Recurred 6-7 mos later. 2 mos in study maybe had antiangiogenesis drug.
2nd surgery 12/08.  3 more taxol/Cplatin...bad Rxn, so now finishing
8 x doxil. Still feel some tumors & lately, cramps.

So, PARP appears to be a better choice...
How to get into a trial here in US?
Some info said University of PA....

They only work if you are BRCA 1 or 2.  Not sure where to get them yet.

I have decided to be BRCA tested very soon.  I guess many women have decided the same thing.  My sister had the BRCA test and it was "nonconclusive". Therefore, they want me to be tested and will do it FREE. Yes, free! Her doctor has agreed to coordinate the test if I will come see him. The problem is that he is in South GA. I am going anyway as soon as I can get there. I will drive down and plan a fun visit while I am there.

I wonder why it only works on BRCA positive women? We feel there is something going on in our family because my fraternal Grandmother had OVCA, my Mother has had breast cancer and my Father has prostrate cancer. My parents are 87 and 86 and have survived the BEAST's attacks on them to live a full, productive life.

My BRAC 1 & 2 testing was inconclusive as well.  "Genetic variant of uncertain significance."
