29 years old with a 9 cm ovarian cyst... is it cancer :(

Well I had a car wreck in April, and I have had some pain in my back, so my Chiro sent me for an MRI. In the process a 9 cm mass was found in my pelvis. I am 29, have a 2 year old, and I have been on birth control for 10 years off and on... and have no family history of female cancer, which all of these things I have heard are on my side.. However, I have this huge cyst... I went to the ER because I was scared to death after hearing it, thinking it would rupture or something, and they did an ultrasound.
The dr. came in and told me that it looked like a simple cyst, but with the size, it is worrisome. Of course I am freaking out waiting to see my gyno. Also, I bruise so easily.. even the dr. noticed the bruising on my legs. She did blood work and a urinalysis which all came back normal, so the bruising stumped her, although I have always been an easy bruiser. Anyone have any experience with a cyst so big? To be honest, knew something was going on because I felt pressure, but there is really no pain from the cyst itself. How often are the BIG ones, cancer?

last week i had a cyst 23.4 x 18.6 x 7.7 removed.  even before i had no symptoms whatsoever, no pain,no bleeding...just a big belly.  they're still to do a biopsy on the thing so i won't know whether it's cancerous or not...but fingers crossed i'll be ok!

good luck!

A friend of mine, about your age, had a cyst the size of a cantaloupe removed from her ovary, and it was not cancerous.
