getting pregnant

i will be 42 yrs old next month i have a cyst the size of a small grapefruit i dont have any kids after removal of cyst will i be able to get pregnant?

Yes, it should be possible still.  With a cyst that size, you may lose one ovary (on the side of the cyst).  But, with the remaining one, you should still be able to conceive if there are no other pre-existing issues.  Like AnnieBrooke mentioned...be sure to tell your surgeon that you wish to preserve fertility.    I hope all goes well!

It is a good idea to talk this all over with your doctor.  Your problem could be the cyst, but it could also be that the cyst and its removal are a totally separate issue from conceiving a child, and that issue might be ruled instead by the fact that you are 42.  Ask your doc.  Good luck!
