Was your doctor an Ob/Gyn or Gyn/Onc? I suspect a regular Ob/Gyn and it was totally wrong for him to tell your relative this info without complete explanation of the implications. With that said, if the frozen section showed anything suspicious or even borderline/LMP, he should have already prepared you for what steps would be taken, such as lymph sampling and oomentum sampling etc.
I am not trying to scare you, but if it was me I would call and ask for an explanation, because it could be weeks before the final pathology report is available.
Doctors like this really infuriate me!
Like Sandy said, try not to worry. If it were me, I would be calling the doctors office and demand to speak to the doctor (I am not a very patient person. LOL). He may be waiting for the final report to say anything. Good luck, and please keep us posted.
Hugs,
Kasie
