Hello,
I have read this: Laparoscopic surgery, or minimally invasive surgery (MIS), keyhole surgery, is a modern surgical technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions as compared to larger incisions needed in traditional surgical procedures. Keyhole surgery uses images displayed on TV monitors for magnification of the surgical elements. Laparoscopic surgery includes operations within the abdominal or pelvic cavities. The key element in laparoscopic surgery is the use of a laparoscope.

Hope it will be of some help!
Thank you very much for your response.
Also, the doctor inflates the person's abdomen with gas which gives him/her more room to see all of the organs clearly and perform the surgery more safely through small incisions, meaning less recovery time, fewer complications, and less pain.
